Visualize Your New Year for You and Your Pets!

Vision Boards...do they work? While we certainly don't think you will just magically get anything you put on a vision board, we at Desert Breeze Pets do think there is something to be said about planting that seed in your subconscious by seeing the thing that you want every day.

Our Social Media Magician has a fantastic story about a Vision Board that led to the adoption of a loved family member:
For example... I have always had big dogs. My last dog Jake was a 100+ pound Chocolate Lab. So when my son was in 5th grade I decided that with my physical health making it a little harder to control a dog that big when I am home alone, that maybe it was time to get a smaller dog. My son and I talked my husband into checking out the animal shelter near us (adopt don't shop!). We only found one small dog and they told us it just wasn't ready for a home with kids or other animals.

As we were leaving another worker came in and asked if we were looking for a small dog. We told her yes and she said she had one for us, in the cat room because he was too small for the dog area. She went and got him and he came running out, my husband picked him up and there was no question he was going home with us. He was part Chihuahua and part Dachshund... a Chiweenie. He was wearing a harness that said Stud with a picture of a muffin. So we brought him home and immediately fell in love with him. He is such a spoiled and happy dog. When we designed our new computer desk part of the plan was for him to have a space between us on the desk for his bed so he would always be near us.

After we had him home for a few weeks I noticed I had this one meme on my vision board, just because I thought it was funny and I wanted to have more laughs that year. That's when I noticed it looked a lot like my precious doggy.

So take a chance and make a vision board, you never know what you may get. ♥
